Derek is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto majoring in human and molecular genetics. He joined the Rossi Lab in May of 2023, and works with Chun Wai on characterizing a subpopulation of fibro-adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) in skeletal muscle regeneration.
Outside of research, Derek enjoys playing tennis, cooking, trying new restaurants, and travelling.
