Background:
I completed my undergraduate education at Simon Fraser University, where I
earned a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology. I continued my
Honours project in computational modeling of muscle physiology under the
supervision of Dr. David Clarke. Since then, I have been granted the opportunity of
studying at the Rossi lab to earn my MAsc. My goal here is to gain a deep
understanding of muscle regulation, understand how gene transcriptional circuits
relate input to output, and to design elegant and robust computational models of
tissue regeneration.
Outside of my research, I love to coach sports and understand movement. Coaching
high-school Track and Field and cross country has been one of my great joys. I am
also a long-time runner, but since then I have started whitewater canoeing and
climbing as well. Sometime soon, I aim to compete in the Boston marathon.
