Michael Cummings

I am a second year undergraduate student at UBC under the Biochemistry Honours specialization. I am assisting PhD candidate Christine Eisner in understanding the role of mesenchymal stem cells in the regeneration of bone to determine their potential as a therapeutic target. Since most research involving the differentiation of MSC’s to osteocytes has been performed in vitro, her research focuses on the regulation and differentiation processes of mesenchymal stem cells to an osteogenic lineage in vivo.
