I’m a student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program working on a summer research project with Dr. Marine Theret.
My project aim is to better understand the different pathways of TGFB in degenerative myopathy. I will specifically focus on the crosstalk between inflammation and fibro/adipogenic progenitor (FAPs) by analyzing the inflammatory compartments of different TGFB-signalling deficient myopathic muscles (necrosis vs fibrotic vs regenerating areas).
My goal is to one day apply my knowledge of medicine towards interprofessional health sciences research!
In my free time, I like to hike, sing karaoke, and play pop songs on the piano.
