I am a second-year undergraduate student (2019) majoring in Biology at UBC. During my first year of undergrad, I got involved in a literature review project about the role of fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2) and transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-B1) towards meniscal regeneration, organized by UBC's Undergraduate Research Opportunities (URO) club. This project raised my interest in hands-on research regarding muscles and regenerative medicine, which eventually led me to the Rossi Lab.
Currently, I volunteer for Dr. Marine Theret by performing bench work and data analysis on samples involved in the role of fibro adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) and eosinophil attraction through the TGFB-Activated Kinase 1 (TAK1) transducer.
In my spare time, I can be found socializing or watching movies with friends, window shopping for clothes, and catching up on any lost sleep.
